Borrowing & Renewal

Borrowing Books
- ID card or QR code from the mobile app is required for borrowing books.
- Reference books and periodicals cannot be checked out.
- Check your status of book loans : Library Webpage > My Library > Book Borrowing, Request, Reservation

Renewal of loan period
- Library Webpage > My Library > Book Borrowing, Request, Reservation
- Click the 'renew' button after selecting the materials.
- Extension of the loan period is available from 5 days before the due date.

	Number of Books and Loan Period
Undergraduate Students : 10 books / 14 days Graduate Students, non-FTE Faculty : 30 books / 30 days (or 60 books / 90 days) FTE Faculty : 30 books / 180 days Alumni and others : 5 books / 14 days

Please ensure that all items are returned at the circulation desk or kiosk.
Return boxes are located in the lobby of the Central Library and at the entrance of the College of Dentistry building.
Overdue fines are ₩100 per day for each item, with a maximum charge of ₩36,000 per item.
Users with overdue books or unpaid fines cannot borrow, renew, or reserve items. Additionally, the issuance of certificates by the university will be restricted.
Damaged or lost items must be reimbursed in accordance with library regulations.
Online Payment of overdue fees/other charges : Homepage > My Library > Materials > Online Fee Payment

Hold Request
- Hold requests are available on the library homepage (log-on required) for items which are checked out or in-progress.
- Search > Click on the title to view more details > Holding Information > Reservation > Click "Available for Reserve"
- Maximum number of reservation : 5 books

Closed Stack Request
- Items located in the closed stacks are available via closed stack request.
- Maximum number of closed stack reservation : 5 books

Inter-campus Loan
- You can request items that are located in other campus in KHU.
- Maximum number of inter-campus loan reservation : 5 books

Request of Special Collections and Printed Thesis : Search > Request > Request Other Meterials
